Here is my new blog. This is where I have been posting for the past two weeks.

It's a little different but it's something I've wanted to do for awhile now.

Pink Cowboys

A couple weeks ago we went over to our friends, Dallin and Katie, to watch a Dallas Cowboys game. We have a Cowboys jersey for Brooklyn that I gave Kurt when I told him I was pregnant so he put it on her even though it was HUGE. I dressed it up with a bow, tights and a pink tutu that I made for her. She looked adorable!

By the end of the night her tutu became her hair....

"It's Been Awhile"

So I have soooo much to update. Not that anything big has happened but because I live so far from most of my family and friends I feel this is a good way to share certain experiences with them and have them feel like they are a part of our lives.

Firstly, Brooklyn is growing like a weed. Today I took her to her four month appointment. Her stats are: Weight: 12 lbs 13 oz - 30%; Height: 23.5 in - 20% (but I don't think they stretched her out to her full height); Head Circumference: 15.5 in - 22%. She is super healthy and is ready to have a little rice cereal. She ScReaMeD when they gave her the immunizations but I just stuck her bottle in her mouth and cuddled her and she was fine. I swear that as long as she has a bottle in her mouth you could poke her in the eye and she would be just fine. Which explains the cheeks.... and the extra chins... and the thighs.... and the belly. Pretty much she is just a chunky little monkey. Which brings me to Exhibit A:

So I found out way too late in the game that if you don't want your baby to rub off her hair then you need to put SiLK ShEetS on her crib. So Brooklyn already had this aMaZIng mullet thing going on and then when she rubbed a huge bald spot on the back of her head.... well, lets just say she would have definitely made it into Peoples magazine wOrst hairdos of 2009 section if they had one. So, partly because I was embarrassed and partly because I told a friend of mine to cut her baby's hair when he would have made it into Peoples magazine, we shaved the back of her head. It looks much much much better and really didn't take that long to get use to. Here are the before and after pictures.

November 24th was our Anniversary. Debbie watched Brooklyn while we went to dinner, watched a movie, bought each other presents, etc.

Kurt turned 24 on the 25th. I bought him this super cool, unbreakable remote helicopter. In the mall they would fly it to the ceiling and let it drop and everything would be fine. Anyways, Kurt and his brother broke it in the first five minutes........ so we took it back. I also made him a Dallas Cowboys cake. The cake was blue and grey and I cut it into a star. I couldn't find the birthday candles I swore we had so I stuck the lighter in the cake and let him blow that out. His family came over for cake then some friends came over to play MunCHkiNs. I don't think people really wanted to play since it was our first time and we were trying to learn. I felt bad for Kurt cause he was worried about everyone else not wanting to play so he wasn't having much fun.... lame.

Thanksgiving was AweSoME. Just like every year. I would like to thank the pilgrims and Indians at this time for coming up with a holiday where we sit around, eat, give thanks, and eat some more. And now I would like to curse corporate America for ruining it by having the best sales of the year the day after. This might just be my second and last year getting up so early to spend most of my morning standing in line.... but I probably said that last year (I can't be sure cause who thinks that early in the morning).
The only picture I snapped on Thanksgiving... probably cause I am most grateful for my hubby.

A couple weeks ago one of my BeSTieS, Jill, lent me her awesome camera to take pictures of Brooklyn. Here is what I got:

Brooklyn says "thhhhppppppttt"

And now here's a ShOUt oUT to anyone who actually made it this far. Either you're bored so you read the whole thing or you love me.

Black Bear

For Halloween Brooklyn was a black bear. Kurt's mom, Debbie, made her costume. It turned out to be adorable.

spitting image

The other day I asked Kurt's mom to show me baby pictures of Kurt's little sister Shania because I had an inkling that Brooklyn would look just like her. Was I right or was I right?
